Boxed for Presentation by the USAF to the President.
"Eureka" has just completed a two year journey to the the Antarctic. Donated to and transported by the Air Force,
it is presently at Travis AFB, California awaiting placement in Washington, D.C. to the office of the President.
An unusual "Railroad Worker" sculpture created in August of 2000 by Carrington.
The base plate is shaped in the form of the Antarctic Continent having highly polished steel edges.
The worker is supporting the letter "S" representing the South Pole (formed from railroad spikes).
Located at the foot of the "S" are letters representing the other three cardinal directions
namely "N", "E" and "W" (again utilizing railroad spikes).
Designed by Carrington
.Donated at Travis Air Force Base
